It was originally located near the new Taco Time and Starbucks. In 1980, Edgewood residents moved the windmill by disguising the move as a "parade," so they didn't have to apply for an official moving permit. The Edgewood Hill Willies, the local jeep club, helped move the mammoth structure. It was a big day for the
