After setting the stone I filled the back of the setting with a complimentary green colored resin

I did a hand faceted cut on this stone

This Ford-ite stone has lots of red layers and some gunmetal silver right on top of the stone

I added a textured pattern to the back of the silver setting

The stone is brown and cream in color with a really nice color gradient light and dark that I centered in the teardrop

Fordite Necklace, Solid Sterling Silver 925, USA Handmade, Recycled EB38 Fordite Necklace and Earring Set Silver After setting the stone IThis is a beautiful teardrop shaped fordite necklace with lots of bright red right on top. This red was the top most color in this batch of fordite so where you see the red it's slightly recessed which allows the other colors within the red area to peek through. This is a large size piece of fordite. Fordite is very light so this is not a heavy pendant. This fordite is from a plant in Ohio that paints for semi trucks. The fordite is 1. 49 inches tall.
