Prized for its ability to blend warmly with diverse ensembles, the Small Jumbo became a rhythm guitar of choice for many makers of hit recordings of the 50s and 60s. The SJ is a scaled back version of Bourgeois' full sized DBJ with a short, 25 scale with a body that is about the same length as an OM, though with a much wider lower bout.
