in WW2 known as the ‘Tough Ombres’

It has the factory stamps NS64 (Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke) and the lot number is D253

It is nicely painted in blue-grey with a textured outer

Italian #13 Brigate Nere The outer is painted inItalian #13 Brigate Nere Shell: Original Italian Model 1933 steel shell; post war. When acquired it was painted in a matt olive drab which looked like the original factory paint. The shell was factory stamped at the rear of the shell M55 and on the liner frame M58. The shell is in excellent condition, it was stripped to bare metal, primed then painted in dark grey green. Liner: The helmet retains its original brown leather liner which is a little
