In other words being sold for decorative purposes only. It has been polished but could do with a deeper polish. Good plate company. Think it probably dates somewhere around the Edwardian period. It has a ding to the main body but nothing serious as shown in photos, and the top of the burner has a ding and this shouldnt effect the function in the slightest should you be brave
