It seems almost gossamer in weight but it is completely opaque. The color is unbelievable and it would have been dyed by hand and then had that amazingly beautiful print screened onto it a complex layered technique. The colors are vivid and brilliant and cannot be matched today. It is cut very simple but with exquisite details and the fine workmanship expected of the period. I
